Being part of any worship team is an honor—one of the highest forms of service and a privilege granted by God. We are here to serve God and the body He has entrusted to us.
This is not about us.
Our purpose is to humbly lead others—the body—into God's Presence through worship. This requires a heart of humility and a servant's character.
Worship ministry takes time, effort, and sacrifice. There is a performance aspect, but our “performance” is for Jesus—not people.
“I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing.”
— 2 Samuel 24:24
Team members are expected to come prepared for rehearsal:
Vocal harmonies
Song structure memorized
Chord accuracy
Transitions and intros
Accountability:
If someone consistently fails to rehearse at home:
They will receive three warnings
If unresolved, they may be gradually removed from services
🙌 WORSHIP IS GRATITUDE
Psalm 33:3 – “Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy!”
We give our best to God as a sign of gratitude. Excellence in preparation and performance is part of our worship.
🌿 OUR TESTIMONY
As worship team members, we represent Jesus at all times. Our lifestyle should reflect the Word of God.
Galatians 5:22-23 – The Fruit of the Spirit:
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Character and testimony come before talent in our team culture.
💰 TITHING
“A man reaps what he sows.” — Galatians 6:7
We are on the front lines of ministry and help set the standard. Team members must:
Be faithful in tithing to our local church
Support United We Can
❌ GOSSIP & CONFLICT
Conflict? Follow this process:
Pray first and examine your own heart.
If unresolved, talk to the person privately.
If needed, escalate it to the Worship Leader.
Gossip will not be tolerated. It can cause serious harm and is not biblical.
📈 GROWTH & TRAINING
All team members should be:
Growing spiritually through Bible study
Actively developing their skills and gifts
👕 DRESS CODE
Dress appropriately when serving:
Men:
Sunday: Dress pants and blazer
Women:
Blouse (no exposed shoulders)
Skirt below the knee
No tight or form-fitting clothing
Color coordination will be assigned as needed.
📅 ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT
Faithfulness is key:
Attend devotionals and rehearsals, even when not scheduled to play/sing
Give at least 2–3 weeks' notice for time off (except emergencies)
✅ READY TO JOIN?
To join the worship team, you must:
Profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

📏 DISCIPLINE
Discipline is biblical.
“Blessed is the one whom God corrects.” — Job 5:17
“The Lord disciplines the one He loves.” — Hebrews 12:6
